Hostel Bulwark is small lovely new hostel in Valença. You will feel like in spa, nice music, beautifull place, great relaxing smell, even nicer like in hotels, it is very nicely furnitured, like picture from magazine, staff is very kind and helpfull, nice breakfast included, towel and slippers for everyone, always fresh lemonade and you are just in historical centre of Valença, bridge to Spain is just 5 minutes by walk from this lovely place. Recomend to everyone ❤️
Everything was great, if I go to Valença again, I would love to stay there again.

Tutto: ovviamente la sapiente ristrutturazione, i materiali usati, i piccoli accorgimenti (finalmente ganci per appendere le cose in abbondanza), e i grandi accorgimenti (proibito portare le scarpe e gli zaini nelle camere), la biancheria che profuma di pulito, le tendine per potersi chiudere nell’alcova, i bagni perfetti, il vasellame della prima colazione. Bon mi fermo!

Descubri este Hostel por casualidad. Es maravilloso, no hay otra forma de decirlo. A estrenar cuando llegué; un local moderno e intimista, muy organizado y limpio. Exploran perfectamente el concepto de Sleeping Box con lo cual pude descansar perfectamente. El salón es muy bonito, con una música ambiente que invita a la convivencia (elegante) con los demás huespedes. Situado en la fortaleza, la zona histórica del acojedor pueblo de Valença. Volveré fijo y repetiré local. Muy recomendable.

I thought it was impossible to sleep through the night on the camino. It isnt! Hostel Bulwark provides the tired pilgrim with EVERYTHING!!! SOFT and amazing bed, real pillows, privacy and its so, so, so very clean! Breakfast was super!!!! Bread, butter, jam, fruit, orange juice, coffee – good quality. Not the cheap toast and butter version. The concept works: small space wisely used. Every detail works. It was my absolute best night on the camino – slept like a baby, entirely happy. Thank you for providing me with this oasis of an hostel and all the hugs and smiles. Gave me so much! Keep up the good energy and work!!! This could easily become a “must stay place” in Valenca!

Hartelijke ontvangst. Het is zeer schoon. Erg fijn dat de stapelbedden een eigen verduisteringsgordijn hebben. Heel goede bedden met superzacht dekbed. Ruime locker voor je spullen. En de locatie is perfect!
Het ontbijt is erg karig. Naast koffie en jus d’orange is er alleen wat stokbrood, en toastjes met jam.

Tolles neues Hostel mit Top Lage und Top Personal
Ein netter Empfang mit Limonade. Noch recht neues Hostel mitten in der Altstadt (Festung). Die beiden Damen waren sehr hilfsbereit. Man konnte sie jederzeit ansprechen. Dank ihnen konnte ich am nächsten Tag auch wieder auf dem Camino laufen! Das Frühstück wurde nett hergerichtet (Buffet). Nutzung der Waschmaschine und Trockner waren kostenlos. Schließfächer für den Rucksack ausserhalb des Schlafsaales mit Schloss. Saubere sanitäre Anlagen.

O pequeno almoço foi uma surpresa pela simplicidade e frescura. Localizado bem no centro da fortaleza de Valença, mas recatado o suficiente das ruas mais movimentadas.

Everything about this stay was wonderful. It is a brand new hostel, so the facilitators are exceptional. Best of all, the owners are very kind and helpful. I slept the best here, of all the nights I walked the Camino! It was air conditioned and cool, with great pillows.
